Day 3 - How to Store Food without Plastic

We have a few go to eco-friendly products for storing food without plastic: wax wraps (of course!), silicone stretch lids, ziplock bags and silicone food huggers. They are also some of our bestsellers and for good reason.

The silicone stretch lids keep food fresher for longer with their airtight seal. They come in a set of 6 - each one being a different size. If you stretch them over bowls, plates etc. they can be stacked on top of each other in the fridge or freezer as they are super strong. You can use them to seal jars too and wrap straight over half a lemon, onion, melon, orange...anything really!

The silicone ziplock bags can be used in the fridge, freezer or for food on the go and they keep food fresher for longer. We love using them to freeze spinach, kale and fruit for smoothies. In winter, we use them to freeze soup - did we mention they can go in the microwave too! They are also great for picnics, lunch and snacks on the go! And because the silicone is sturdy any soft fruit is protected. Plus they can all go in the dishwasher!

The cleverly designed silicone food huggers come in a set of 4 all different sizes made from flexible food grade silicone. Got a half cut lemon or onion? Simply press it gently into the correct size hugger to form an airtight seal and keep your fruit and veg fresh for longer. Try one on your half cut avocado.nThey can also be used as a lid on open cans, bottles and jars.
