A family-run business, Bee Cosmetics formulate skincare using natural plant-based ingredients, combined with beeswax, honey and propolis collected from their hives. They believe in the natural power of plant oils and butters, sourcing the highest quality ingredients to formulate effective and skin-friendly products.
At their core they're beekeepers, and the health and growth of UK beekeeping is hugely important. They look after 20 plus hives scattered across Sussex and Surrey and continue to promote UK beekeeping. They're always happy to talk about bees!
Their passion for bees started it all. Having caught the beekeeping bug in 2003, they quickly realised just how fascinating these creatures are. Not only are they vital for the success of most of the food we eat, they produce surplus beeswax, honey and propolis – a combination of sustainable and natural ingredients packed full of skincare benefits!
They create their own formulas and use long-established techniques to produce skincare with the highest natural content possible. The ingredients they use and their natural skincare properties are the key to the efficacy of their products.
From their lip balms to moisturisers, the Bee Cosmetics range is made in small batches at a maximum of 80 units per batch. Allowing for hand-craft, attention to detail and reduced waste. They don’t outsource production, ensuring high standards throughout. They make, package and distribute every single product here in Sussex.
All Bee Cosmetics' packaging and product containers are carefully selected to minimise environmental impact. They use glass containers wherever possible and accept used glass containers which we clean, sterilise and refill. All postal orders are fulfilled using recycled or recyclable packaging.
