Rowdy Kind started with a series of challenging questions from founder Kate’s son, Chris. Chris, then 7, asked during bathtime one evening: “Why do we use plastic bottles if they are so bad?” and “Why are you still using baby shampoo on me?” This started the search for a better bathtime solution. Kate wanted something that was made of quality ingredients and specifically formulated for kids' sensitive skin, and Chris wanted something that wasn’t for babies, gender neutral (not Pink vs Blue), was “Cool and Fun” and most importantly plastic free!
Though they may be of the rough-and-tumble variety, kids' skin is sensitive to harsh ingredients. That’s why Rowdy Kind products are made specifically for kids. Their bars are: the appropriate pH level, use only allergen-free scents, are made of the highest-quality gentle cleansing ingredients, and contain no Sulfates, Parabens or PEGs.
Kids know that plastic isn't good for the planet, and what goes on their skin shouldn’t add more to the bin. Children told us that all of our products must be plastic free. Period. Not just that, but they are also vegan-friendly, cruelty free, sustainably sourced, and biodegradable.
