Nourishing Rose Geranium Soap Bar - The Soap People

115 grams

Wake up and smell the roses with this luxurious relaxing and skin-balancing natural soap bar with rose geranium and French pink clay.

Uplifting rose geranium essential oil lends a beautiful soft aroma which is believed to alleviate anxiety and reduce stress, balance your hormones and promote healthy skin. It's also good at fighting acne.  Great to use as a face soap. And, it's an easy plastic-free swap to replace plastic bottled shower gel, face wash, and hand wash.

Wake Up & Smell The Roses

If you haven't tried rose geranium before, we think you'll love it. It's a firm favourite of both of us at Vera-Bee. We stock a lot of products that use rose geranium because of its fantastic calming and balancing properties.  We all need some relaxing time out in our busy lives!

This nourishing natural soap is also packed with shea butter, olive oil and French pink clay which create a creamy lather for a silky, soft feel. Pink Clay, a gentle combination of red and white clay, benefits dry and sensitive skin types. It helps soothe irritation and inflammation from skin concerns such as acne, balancing skin and promoting healthy cell renewal.

Vera-Bee Tip: If you have more than 1 bathroom you can cut the bar in half.

Looking after your natural soap

These handmade 100% natural soaps have no chemical preservatives so they deserve a little bit of attention to keep them fresh and prolong their lives. Our Soap People soaps have a high percentage of natural glycerine. Great for your skin as its incredibly moisturising but it also attracts water. Therefore, it's really important to keep your soap somewhere dry.

When you are not using your natural soap, it's best to keep it out of water and on a well-drained surface so it can completely dry between uses. Using a wooden soap dish with open slats means air can circulate underneath where water can collect. We have a range of sustainable wood soap dishes for you to choose from. Or you could get creative and use a few pebbles on a small dish to create the same effect. Plus this looks pretty too. Treating your soap like this will make it last for as long as possible.

About The Soap People

Helen started The Soap People because she was horrified with how many plastic bottles of liquid hand wash and shower gel her family, including her three dirt-loving boys, got through. Finding supermarket soap too drying and even the "natural" soaps available to contain all sorts of nasties including SLSs, parabens and palm oil, she decided to create her own. She uses only natural ingredients that are gentle and nourishing including olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil and shea butter.

Here are the things that they say NO to at the The Soap People:

No Plastic Packaging
They are plastic free and only use recycled, biodegradable packaging.

No Palm Oil
Around the world the demand for palm oil contributes to widespread deforestation and is pushing wildlife to extinction. Instead they include olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil and other nourishing ingredients like shea butter and clays.

No Nasties, No SLSs, No Preservatives, No Artificial Fragrances or Colourings
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is a known skin irritant and it is harmful to fish and other aquatic animals as well as polluting our groundwater. Parabens are linked to health issues. Unnecessary chemicals on my skin? No thanks. Instead The Soap People use essential oils and plant-based ingredients that have known beneficial properties.

No Animal Testing
The Soap People soaps are vegetarian and most are vegan too. The Soothing Soap and Sensitive Soap have beeswax and honey in them, but the rest only contain plant and mineral ingredients.

The Soap People soap recipes have been approved by chemists and are officially registered.
