Organic Cotton Short-Handled String Bag - Natural
We love Turtle Bag’s range of ethically-sourced, plastic-free, reusable shopping bags. This one is their Organic Cotton Short-Handled String Bag in Natural.
The perfect reusable shopping bag
These Organic Cotton String Shopping Bags are a must have - super strong and light, they take up no space in your bag and add no additional weight. They are perfect for when you 'just pop to the shop' - never be caught out again having to buy a plastic bag or bag for life.
Use these bags for shopping, days out, loose fruit and vegetables, a loaf of bread, or even as a gym bag - the list is endless. Both of us at Vera-Bee have several - one for our handbags, one for the car and one in the house.
We also stock Turtle Bag's grocery and produce bags - helpful for keeping your fruit and veggies together.
Great value, strong and long-lasting
Checked by Which? these bags can take up to 40kg in weight - I know right! But, what we love about these is how much you can fit in. Due to the flexible cotton netting they stretch and keep on giving. You'll be surprised by how much you can get in one bag.
All Turtle Bags are also washable so you can use them over and over again.
Ethical and sustainable bags
Turtle Bag’s organic cotton bags are certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). This means no chemical pesticides or fertilisers are used in the production of the fabric and farmers must work under safe conditions with an agreed minimum wage.

Natural & Blush are available as a Short-Handled or Long-Handled Bag.
About Turtle Bags
Turtle Bags started creating their bags in 2001 in response to the lack of ethically-sourced reusable plastic-free shopping bags. Why the name Turtle Bags? One of the company’s main concerns is that when we eventually discard our plastic bags here in the UK, they travel along rivers and streams and eventually end up out at sea. Turtles venturing into UK waters encounter them, and are increasingly mistaking our rubbish as one of their favourite snacks, the jellyfish. The amount of Turtles now found dead with plastic bags inside of them is truly devastating. We have five different species of turtle which venture into British waters, most predominantly the Leatherback Turtle. These creatures have been around for 100 million years, and are certainly worth protecting. Try a Turtle Bag today and be part of the solution!
