Plastic-Free Hairbands Organic Cotton Black- KOOSHOO

If you are anything like us at Vera-Bee, hairbands are one of life's necessities. So, we were really excited to find these - the world's first plastic-free hairbands. Ethically and responsibly made from organic cotton and natural rubber, they are 100% biodegradable. The first hairband that is good for your hair and the environment!

These plastic-free hairbands are super strong and built to last. But they are also ultra soft and will not pull or break your hair. The natural rubber provides a non-slip hold and when they are not in your hair, they look great as wristbands.

Why Plastic-Free Hairbands?

Do you ever wonder what happens to your hairbands when they vanish from your wrist? Many are absorbed into our environment or consumed by birds and fish and deposited directly back into our soil. Conventional, plastic hairbands aren’t made to last - that’s why they come in packs of 10 or 20. Manufacturers treat them like they’re disposable when really, they’re one of the least disposable products on the market. The run-of-the-mill, synthetic hair ties take a minimum of 500 years to break down. That's a huge amount of plastic hairbands filling up our planet and causing harm to wildlife.

Pack Size: 5 plastic-free hairbands

Material: 75% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, 25% Natural Rubber

Dye: Hand-dyed using low impact dye

Care: If washing wash cold with like colours. Dye may run on 1st wash.

Kooshoo was founded by Jesse and Rachel, husband and wife yoga teachers proudly based out of Victoria, Canada. Together with a small, tight-knit team, they have set out to create a lifestyle company that does good at every level.

KOOSHOO means feeling good in Norfuk, a language spoken exclusively by the people of Norfolk Island, a small island in the South Pacific. As it happens, both KOOSHOO's co-founder Rachel and their product developer Leilani are Norfolk Islanders.
