Recycled Throw with hand knotted fringe - Blue
These beautiful environmentally friendly throws are made from recycled plastic bottles! But don't be fooled these are soft and luxurious to the touch.
At Namaste they are passionate about ensuring their products where possible are made from environmentally friendly, sustainable and recycled materials and they are strong believers that by helping to create a market that encourages the recycling and reusing of plastic bottles it will reduce the negative impact they are continuing to have on our natural environment.
Once collected the plastic which was destined for land fill or our oceans is shredded into small flakes, melted, extruded and then spun into polyester yarn and thread, not only resulting in a wonderfully versatile textile that is soft and luxurious to touch, but resulting in a fantastic, recycled, environmentally friendly textile worth talking about! They can be used inside & outside the house as throws, blankets, picnic blankets and so on.

The GoodWeave label is the best assurance that no child labour was used in the making of your rug.
In order to earn the GoodWeave label, rug exporters and importers must be licensed under the GoodWeave certification program and sign a legally binding contract to adhere to GoodWeave’s no-child-labour standard; allow unannounced random inspections by local inspectors; and pay a licensing fee that helps support GoodWeave’s monitoring, inspections and education programs. Each certified rug features a numbered label on the reverse that can be traced back to the producer, linking you directly to the lives at the other end of the supply chain. Buying a Goodweave certified rug supports educational opportunities for children in India who might otherwise be required to work.
