The Vegan BIG One XL Bread Wax Wrap - GoodToBee
I'm out of stock but will be back soon
48 cm x 55 cm Vegan Wax Wrap
The beautifully simple alternative to plastic clingfilm, this extra large Vegan Wax Wrap is a must have for anyone living a plastic free life. Sustainable, biodegradable and made from 100% organic cotton, this wrap makes it easy to ditch the clingfilm forever!
Easily covering a whole loaf, piles of veg, a cauliflower or melon, the Vegan Big One Wax Wrap is practical as well as gorgeous. The extra-large size will easily create the perfect seal around even the largest loaf keeping it fresh for up to a week. And veg from the veggie patch or a family pack of herbs will stay naturally fresh for much longer wrapped in this large lovely. It's also invaluable for rolling out dough or covering large proving bowls. A great size for bakers, cooks, and busy families.
We also use ours for wrapping stacks of sandwiches for a picnic (complete with lashings of ginger beer) and as a snack mat for ourselves and the kids in and outdoors.
Our wax wraps are lovingly made in Northampton by GoodToBee, a family business with the same ethos as us at Vera-Bee - zero waste and zero impact. They are handmade from 100% soft organic cotton and printed with organic dyes. The wax part is a mixture of ethically-sourced, plant-based vegan wax, damar tree resin and organic jojoba oil.
What we love...
Large enough for the big jobs
Great size for rolling out dough

How to use your Vegan Wax Wrap
Use the natural warmth of your hands to tuck, fold, and shape around bread, food, plates and bowls creating a breathable seal. At home in the fridge, your wax wraps will harden up keeping food naturally fresh for longer.
Love and care for your Vegan Wax Wrap
A quick rinse with cool water and maybe a little dish soap is all these wraps need. Hang to dry naturally over the dish rack (they dry really quickly) and you’re ready to use them again and again.
Fold them for storage in a drawer or they look beautiful rolled up in a jar on the worktop.
Avoid heat and flame and do not use in the microwave. Do not use on raw meat or fish and make sure food and bowls are cold before wrapping.
Keeping them going strong
If your Vegan Wax Wrap starts to look a little tired after a few months, no problem. Simply lay it on a baking sheet and place it in a preheated medium oven for two minutes. Lift it out and carefully and quickly hold it up as it dries in seconds. It is now re-pasteurised, refreshed and looking as good as new.
You can also re-wax your wrap using the Vegan Re-Waxing Bar.
Loving your wraps like this every few months means they will give you about a year’s worth of hard work. Although ours have been going well over two years and counting! Just think how much plastic you’ll save! Once their wrapping days are over simply pop them on the compost heap or scrunch them up to use as firelighters.
