Washing Up Scraper - Loofco
I love scrubbing pans. Said nobody, ever. Let's make it easier without resorting to harsh chemicals which harm the planet and sting your hands.
Proven over generations, this ingenious, traditional use for the outer husk of a coconut is as a scraper for removing burnt on food from pans and roasting trays without scratching.
The scraper has a blade-like edge at the front and a fibrous surface underneath that acts like a miniature scrubbing brush. Safe for all surfaces including non-stick.
Coconut husk contains compounds which resist bacterial and fungal growth and each scraper and its string loop is hand-made in Sri Lanka using ethical, fair trade & eco-friendly business practices, Being 100% natural the scraper is non toxic and completely biodegradable meaning you can clean your pans with complete confidence that no micro-plastics or chemicals are being released down the drain.
The natural scraper also has a handy cotton string so you can hang it to dry after each use.
- Removes baked-on food
- For pots, pans & oven trays
- Made from coconut husk
Hints & Tips
First soak your dirty oven tray, pot or pan. Scrape off the burnt on food and wash as normal. Make sure to rinse and hang dry using the string to keep your scraper fresh between uses. Occasionally soak in hot water and natural dish soap and air dry. When the bristle-like edge starts to fray just trim with some scissors right back to the solid edge and continue using. The Scraper will last up to 12 months and is 100% biodegradable at the end if its life - completely zero waste. Hooray!
